Over the weekend

My room mate's dad was just diagnosed with colon cancer. It is probably early enough to fix with just surgery but we are going up to Ohio this weekend to see him. He was not a good dad, often drinking and beating his family, so the emotional stuff is rough. He is older now and doesn't really remember the things he did. My room mate believes in "Honor your father and mother" so we are going to see him before the surgery (just in case). If y'all would be thinking and praying for my room mate, it would be appreciated.
