DnD Recap

The chamber right before the boss fight. Privateer minis pull double duty.
Last Thursday, the players finally made it to the boss fight.  They descended the slippery, blood-soaked chains into the ritual chamber, where the Demon Lord Orcas was about to break through.  The Priest and the Warlock were able to seal the rift while the the Warlord, Rouge, and Fighter were able to fight off the hordes of undead that kept coming back to life.  The main boss, Kalaral, turned out to be a pansy in a fight, though he had a ton of hit points.  In his pocket was a note describing payments for humanoid slaves taken from the area.  Next week, the players plan to track down the slave traders.

Our recipe for the week was simple.  We provided the salad and everyone brought their favorite toppings.  We had everything including:
  • Artichoke hearts
  • Cheese
  • Turkey
  • Boiled eggs
  • Pepperchino peppers
  • 10 different dressings
  • Black and green olives
  • Croutons
  • and more stuff I don't remember
No one spent more than 5 dollars, we ate a great dinner, and the root beer floats for dessert were fantastic!

Orcus huh? He's my favorite of all the baddies, they should've let him join the party!

Speaking of party, sounds like fun and a pretty tasty salad to boot. Can you believe I've never had a root beer float?

I can't believe it!! It's one of the all time greats. Pick out your favorite rootbeer and a good vanilla ice cream. Start with two good scoops of ice cream and pour the rootbeer over the top slowly to fill the glass. It will foam like crazy! Just knock it down and stir a little. I prefer a lot of rootbeer in my float, others like thick. Part of the fun is finding your perfect mix. Straws and spoons are optional. Surprise the family and try it out =)
